CMPA study sheds light on barriers Canadian women face in the screen-based media sector
January 30, 2017
The Canadian Media Producers Association continues to work towards an industry of equality.

There’s still an opportunity for improvement throughout the media production sector across the country, as nearly 90 per cent of women working in the screen-based media sector reported facing gender-based obstacles to advancing their career. We thank CMPA, as well as Liz Shorten, Managing Vice-President, Operations & Member Services at CMPA BC Producers Branch for their dedication to this study as well as their continued efforts to create and reinforce an industry of growth, empowerment and support.

Creative BC is proud to have supported this initiative.
