IFF is OMDC's feature film co-financing event at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Selected international and Canadian producers are brought together with international sales agents, distributors, funders, agents and executive producers to do business in brokered meetings and benefit from exclusive networking opportunities.
IFF has introduced hundreds of projects to the international marketplace with over 40 successfully financed to date, including Nathan Morlando's Citizen Gangster, Denis Villeneuve’s Incendies, David Michôd’s Animal Kingdom, Haifaa al-Mansour’s Wadjda, and Ralph Fiennes's directorial debut, Coriolanus.
Canadian and international feature film producers are invited to apply to participate in IFF.
Registration is free but competitive, with final selection based on company track record and suitability of projects in development.
Applicants must have, at minimum, one full producer credit on a theatrically released feature, and one or two market-oriented projects in development that require international co-production or financing partners. Please note: IFF accepts non-English-language projects only with prior approval. Applicants should contact Jan Nathanson, IFF producer, for permission prior to submitting a non-English language project.
Producers with only Executive Producer, Co-Producer and Associate Producer credits are not eligible.
