Opening in theatres worldwide on Halloween, Horns is one of the many motion pictures filmed entirely in British Columbia, with scenes shot in Vancouver, Squamish and Mission.
Horns is a supernatural dark thriller starring Daniel Radcliffe as Ig Perrish who finds that horns have mysteriously sprouted from his head following the tragic rape and murder of his girlfriend. He soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins – an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer.
The movie also features the work of several Canadian actors and musicians, including Jay Brazeau, who stars as Father Mould, and The Brass Action, a local Vancouver band whose song “Devil Down Below” is featured in a bar scene. Horns is an example of one of the 294 productions that filmed or completed post production in our province in 2012. The film and television sector contributes over $1 billion to BC’s provincial economy each year and creates an estimated 25,000 direct and indirect jobs
