Supported through the Career Development program, award-winning independent Canadian singer-songwriter, Norine Braun, is releasing her new album, "Through Train Windows," this December.

The album is inspired by Braun's Riding The Rails tour across Canada as part of Via Rail's Artist On Board program. Making the journey with fellow artist Alice Fraser, they traveled 6000 kilometers from Vancouver to Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal and Halifax.

Following the tour, as a Musician in Residence at Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity, Braun worked on her new album in the studio facing the majestic Sleeping Buffalo Mountain.

"Through Train Windows" was recorded and produced by Juno nominated Adam Popowitz of Rear Window Song and Sound in Vancouver, B.C. The album also features drummer Elliot Polsky, Huggybear Leonard on blues harp, Alice Fraser on keys, and saxophonist extraordinaire, Steve Hilliam.

"Through Train Windows" will be released Saturday, Dec 8 at Pat's Pub and Brewhouse at 403 Hastings East from 8 to 11 pm.
