An alternative concept studio in Vancouver, BC | Capsule Studios
Capsule Studios is a primarily women-operated studio based in Vancouver, BC. This studio is an alternate concept studio that was created inside a shipping container that is portable and can travel to new locations around the city or province. The studio offers a wide range of services such as recording, mixing, mastering, consulting and is host to their creative licensing/sync agency, Arrival Sounds.
Their aim to be innovative expands beyond the confinements of this mobile studio and can has been exemplified in their pursuit to bring equity to the BC music industry and beyond. With the creation of Producer’s Lounge and Mix by Mail, they have been able to help develop safe spaces and meaningful relationships for female producers in the industry and those who identify as BIPOC, LBGTQIA2S+ & non-binary.
Their masterclasses have brought these communities together to expand their skillsets by offering learning from industry professionals such as Elisa Pangsaeng, Nimkish, DJ O Show, Swann Barrat, Dawn Pemberton and many more. Their goals to continually produce experiences for equity deserving communities has helped create future opportunities and shine the light on many talented producers and artists all across the lower mainland.
