Building on its established Music Strategy, the City of Vancouver is currently seeking a Social Planner I – Music Planner to drive its foundational priorities forward.
The Music Planner positions and sustains Vancouver as a hub for music by supporting musicians, and addressing gaps and opportunities in Vancouver’s music ecosystem. As a champion of the Vancouver Music Strategy (established as part of Culture|Shift in 2019), the role operates within an established framework that strengthens and grows Vancouver’s music industry, and ensures its resilience and long-term viability.Â
The Music Planner liaises with musicians, industry representatives, arts and culture organizations, creative partners, provincial and federal agencies, and other levels of government. The role also serves as a municipal liaison for music industry and community stakeholders, as well as an internal ambassador for music within the city of Vancouver.
The deadline for applications is April 29, 2022.
