The MUTEK Festival’s Call For Projects: apply before January 31, 2023!
Since 2000, the Montreal-based MUTEK Festival has been a potent incubator and showcase for innovative live electronic music and real-time audiovisual performances.
Submissions for the 2023 Festival are now open to artists and creators residing anywhere in Canada. The 24th edition of the Festival will be held in Montreal, QC from August 22 – 27, 2023.
Unpublished live musical performances with an electronic focus and innovative digital audio-visual performances that explore the relationship between image and sound are eligible for consideration. Apply before January 31, 2023!
MUTEK is particularly interested in:
- Unpublished live musical performances: mainly electronic;
- Innovative digital audiovisual performances that explore the relationship between image and sound;
- Virtual, augmented or mixed reality works, whose themes and artistic treatment align with the MUTEK universe, and;
- Any other type of project that pushes the limits of digital creation, or employs innovative technologies.
MUTEK’s mission is to present live musical and sound performances. Therefore, DJ mixes will not be considered.
Applicants are encouraged to accompany their submissions with video and/or audio recordings of their performances. Full application instructions and eligibility criteria can be found below.
