WHAT IS HOT DOCS?
Hot Docs Forum and Market offers documentary filmmakers at all levels of experience and industry professionals with access to key decision makers, networking, education and pitching opportunities. Events include the Forum, Hot Docs Deal Maker and Distribution Rendezvous. The Hot Docs Forum is a dynamic pitching event focused around a slate of pre-selected international project presentations showcased in front of a round table of commissioning editors, film fund representatives, financiers, programming executives and delegates from around the globe. WHO CAN APPLY?
Creative BC will accept applications from BC resident documentary producers who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Must have been selected to pitch a project at the Hot Docs Forum or Hot Docs Deal Maker;
- Must have been selected to attend the Hot Docs Forum as an Observer or have an All Access Pass;
- Must have Distribution Rendezvous meetings set-up and a Network & Conference Pass.
Creative BC is able to provide travel support for up to twelve BC residents to a maximum of $1,500, to offset market registration, travel and accommodation costs. Support is only available to one representative per company.
