ADVANCE is Canada's Black Music Business Collective, leading the change in developing an infrastructure for the betterment, upliftment and retention of Black people in the music business. Their vision is to create conditions for long-term success by addressing racial equality and inclusivity through three areas: Advocacy, Mentorship, and Community Outreach.

AMPED, Advance Music Professional and Entertainment Dialogues, is a one day virtual summit led by ADVANCE. The summit is geared towards students, career professionals, veteran executives, and artists in Canadian music.

June is Black Music Month, and Music BC is partnering with ADVANCE on a special panel presentation. On June 18th, a group of industry leaders & professionals will speak about the knowledge and the insight they have gained through years of experience, and how their careers have developed over time. This is a panel meant for anyone in the arts, music or entertainment sector - especially those in the BIPOC community who are starting out in the industry - to be inspired and help conceptualize their future career path.
