The two-day workshop covers topics such as tour planning and prep, attending industry events & Contact Events, applying to showcase, negotiating with presenters, marketing, social media, and more. Participants are invited to participate in five-minute Pitch or Perform sessions showcasing what they do and receive feedback from trainers. Often featured at industry events, pitch or performs offer an opportunity to promote performances showcasing what they do to presenters.
The workshop is intended to serve aspiring, emerging artists interested in enhancing their knowledge about touring. For the purposes of this program, aspiring, emerging artists are defined as those, between 18-34 years old, who have mastered the basic techniques of their art form through education or apprenticeship and are in the early stage of launching a professional career.
Registration is free for BCTC members. Membership is $57.50 per year.

The BC Touring Council was established as a Charity and non-profit society in 1976. It exists for the successful and sustainable touring and presenting of the performing arts in British Columbia at a use of resources that demonstrate good stewardship of funds received.
