
A reception will precede the film, with a performance by Veda Hille (who sings in the film), art by the director on display, along with music by Jamal Salavati and Amir Eslami coordinated by the composer of the film, Taymaz Saba. Guests will also be treated to traditional Middle Eastern food. A poetic excerpt from the film will be read before the screening.
Window Horses is a gentle comedy of daughters and absentee dads, poets, immigrants, and self-discovery. This screening will be a special preview for VIFF audiences before the film's wide release, and is part of the organization's commitment to 'film plus' which sees screenings in collaboration with talks and events.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for a short reception including food and entertainment, film begins at 7:15p.m.
