Immersed Exhibition

VIFF Immersed: Exhibition, presented by Samsung VR Video, is a three-day public, ticketed exhibition featuring VR, AR and MR experiences staged on a wide range of immersive technology platforms. It celebrates the best of storytelling; showcases some of today’s most important creators, platforms and technologies; and represents the current state of this burgeoning industry.

VIFF AMP SUMMIT

The VIFF AMP summit welcomes music supervisors, composers and post-production experts to engage in panels and workshops that explore the essential role of music in film and highlight growing opportunities for recording artists. Global sound trends, how mediums like gaming, advertising and social media have changed the landscape, composing and music supervision are but a few of the topics that will be covered. VIFF AMP also invites local talent to take to the stage at evening events including the VIFF LIVE Artist Showcase and Music BC’s SOUNDOFF.

MUSIC BC'S Sound off

The VIFF AMP summit closes off with the second year of Music BC’s SOUNDOFF – A "How-to Series" event on Thursday, October 4th. World-class music supervisors discuss the ups and downs and challenges of music supervision. What’s working? What isn’t? Live music performances by local songwriters highlight this interactive night that will provide insight into placing your music in TV, film, games, ads and media.

Sustainable Production Forum

Sustainable production is the future of filmmaking, and the screen-based storytelling community can shift business-as-usual practices and contribute to the global conversation about sustainability.

The focus of the 2018 Sustainable Production Forum is on "Transforming Culture". Join expert panelists, actors, producers and other film and television practitioners discuss achievements in sustainable production practices, explore how to implement sustainable production in the effervescent world of advertising, and celebrate the launch of a pilot project which continues to pioneer best practices for industry-community relations in BC. The day will end with a reception and Awards Gala.
