WFF will draws film fans and filmmakers to North America’s premiere mountain resort for five days to experience 90 fresh films from Canada and around the world, connect with the people who made them, and honour artists of our time, complemented by lively celebrations as well as innovative industry initiatives through our Content Summit and Talent Programs. WFF will award over $150,000 in cash prizes and commissions
WFF’s industry programs provide a full range of talent and project development, market and networking opportunities for filmmakers. WFF’s Content Summit connects filmmakers and dealmakers through interactive sessions that address filmmaking in the digital age, and through a slate of 11 Talent Programs designed to provide creative and business immersion experiences for over 80 Canadian artists, including screenwriters, producers, directors, actors and musicians, to advance their projects and craft leading up to and during the festival.
WFF 365 includes year round screening series and events including the Adventure Film Series and Summer Cinema Series in Whistler as well as fundraisers and industry engagements in Whistler and Vancouver.
