Case Study: The Man in the High Castle and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Creator Talk
May 3, 2019
Creating the look

In celebration of Creative Industries Week, VIFF is thrilled to use this insightful double bill to shine twin spotlights on talented BC craftspeople behind two locally shot series: The Man in the High Castle and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Set Decorators Jonathan Lancaster (an Emmy nominee) and Lisa Lancaster will share their expertise on enriching the visual aesthetics and designing the provocative décor for Amazon’s critically acclaimed series, The Man in the High Castle. Then, as we trade dystopian America for more supernatural realms, award-winning Canadian Production Designer Lieselotte Soper and Special Makeup Effects Supervisor Werner Pretorius will take us behind-the-scenes on how they created the stylized neo-gothic horror elements of the cult hit Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
