Creative Industry Calendar
- February24PubWest is a nonprofit trade organization for North American book publishers and companies servicing the publishing industry. PubWest Conference supports publishers' development through a series of programming from keynote speakers, social hours and exhibitions.
- October1417This is an annual event in Whistler, which TWWS started in 2002. It is a multi-venue, multi-artist, multi-day event. It involves over half of WWS’ volunteer and financial resources.
Attendance: We welcome 1500+ guests ever year.
The program includes a masterclass workshop series for new and emerging writers on various topics of craft (e.g.: fiction, non-fiction, children’s & YA and more), reading events and panel discussions for the general public, a Literary Cabaret combining music and readings, and Sunday Brunch reading event. There are also readings in local schools, and a workshop geared to writers who are under 18, in partnership with the Whistler Public Library.
- October2024Once a year Frankfurter Buchmesse turns into the world capital of ideas. It is the most important international trade fair for publishing and content of all kinds - from novels and children's books to scientific databases. Here, experts from global publishing meet partners from the technology industry and related creative industries such as film and games. Thus, it is the hub of the international rights and licensing trade, and from here new cooperations and business models take their course.
