Creative BC + Screen Ireland
Screen Ireland and Creative BC have entered into an initiative to co-develop a number of film and television projects. This co-development will enable up to four projects to access development financing from both territories.
The intent of this financing is to foster film and television production between Irish producers and British Columbia producers. The total value of the funding available is $150,000. The maximum amount available to any one project is $40,000 and funding will be allocated on a 50/50 basis from both agencies. Projects require the involvement of both an Irish resident producer(s) and a BC resident producer(s). Applicants will first need to apply to Screen Ireland with their project. If approved, an application will then need to be made to Creative BC by the BC resident producer(s).

BC applicants must meet the following criteria prior to applying:
- Have a suitable co-production project in the development phase
- Have signed a co-production agreement with an Irish co-producer for the project, who is eligible for funding from Screen Ireland
- The Irish co-producer must have the project approved by Screen Ireland under the co-development incentive
- Approval from Screen Ireland would be a letter of commitment to the Irish co-producer for the project
If you would like to apply, please email Christine Chiu with a copy of the letter of commitment to the Irish co-producer for the project, and you will be provided with a link to the online submission form.
