MPPIA Short Film Award is an industry initiative of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association (MPPIA), in partnership with Creative BC and the Whistler Film Festival Society. The award consists of up to $15K in cash (Creative BC $5K, MPPIA $10K) plus in-kind services valued up to $100K from across the industry.
Established in 2007, The Award was founded to recognize and celebrate the contribution of film and television to the Province of British Columbia. The completed project screens at the subsequent Whistler Film Festival. This annual Award is possible with the generous support of British Columbias motion picture production community.
