The Career Development program supports the economic growth and career development of emerging and established B.C. artists in the areas of sound recording, marketing, and music videos.

This program will open on September 7, 2022. The application deadline is October 19, 2022, at 11:59 PM, PDT.

Applications for Emerging and Established B.C. artists are evaluated by Creative BC staff and panel of industry professionals, representing a variety of genres, industry backgrounds, regions and demographics.

Applications are scored according to the priorities of the program, the economic impact of the project, and the applicant’s capacity to deliver the project.

Info sessions associated with the 2022/23 Career Development program intake will occur in the weeks leading up to the progam intake deadline. Keep checking back here for updates.

Grant coaching will re-open when the 2022/23 Career Development program cycle launches later this year. Additional information on specific grant coaches will be made available at that time. 

One-hour grant coaching sessions are available for new and previously unsuccessful applicants from underrepresented groups and regions of BC. Grant coaches can provide feedback on your applications for Amplify BC programs.

This includes artists and companies from and serving the following groups:

  • Indigenous peoples
  • Black community
  • People of Colour
  • Deaf and Disability community, and those who live with chronic illness or are neurodiverse
  • LGBTQ2IA+ and gender diverse

This also includes people from underrepresented regions of BC:

  • Cariboo
  • Kootenay
  • Nechako
  • North Coast
  • Northeast
  • Thompson / Okanagan
  • Vancouver Island and Coast (excluding the Capital Regional District / City of Victoria)
