Creative BC delivers a wide range of programs and services with a mandate to expand British Columbia’s creative economy.
These supports include sector stewardship and three core service lines: administration of the provincial government’s motion picture tax credit programs; delivery of sector program funding and export marketing support; and provision of provincial film commission services.
Combined, these activities strengthen local capacity and attract inward investment. Creative BC helps to position British Columbia’s creators to compete in a rapidly expanding global context while promoting the province as a partner and destination of choice for creative content production.

Provincial Film Commission
Established in 1978, the Provincial Film Commission at Creative BC delivers and supports the resources that serve B.C.’s thriving motion picture industry.

Programs
Creative BC grants support B.C. creators, entrepreneurs, and companies with strategic investments to develop their projects, gain access to markets, and build stronger global partnerships.

Two major programs, one for domestic and one for international projects, are administered by Creative BC for the Province of British Columbia.
