Vancouver International Film Festival’s New Initiatives & Hub
VIFF is introducing streams that bundle an entire multi-media movie experience, from the film itself, to lectures and special events. Programming streams include Panorama (international), Ignite (BC), True North (Canadian), Impact (current events and important topics), Next (virtual reality, gaming, emerging digital platforms), Gateway (Eastern Asia), M/A/D (music, art, design), and ALT (fringe and alternative).
A new initiative, the VIFF Hub, will showcase interactive screen-based experiences, talks and events with leaders in creative industries that are designed to educate and inspire. The scheduled events for the VIFF Hub are:
- New Frontiers Series: Virtual Reality (presented by Creative BC)
- Industry Exchange
- Creator Talks
- Sustainable Production Forum (presented by Creative BC)
- Totally Indie Day
- Late Night @ VIFF Hub
CrBC is a Premier Supporter of the Vancouver International Film Festival Society and Presenter of the NEXT Stream.
VIFF runs September 29 to October 14. The 2016 line-up will be posted on September 8th.
