Equity, Diversity + Inclusion
serving the industry with collaborative resources
Because of increased production activity in recent years, we know that B.C.'s below-the-line workforce must increase capacity to serve market need.
The industry, together with Creative BC's hands-on support, is committed to strengthen the industry with resources for equity, diversity and inclusion.
As Canada's largest, full-service motion picture hub, leadership, innovation and transformation are intrinsic to the collaborative organizations that are members of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association.
B.C.'s entire network of domestic producers, live action services, animation/VFX and post-production communities, as well as hundreds of trusted industry supply companies are engaged in individually-initiated and targeted initiatives addressing equity, diversity and inclusion training, more visible and accessible entry points for skilled individuals, and ways to participate in and strengthen this workforce.
DIRECTORY OF RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Beginning by publishing a shared resource directory of initiatives, directories and learning, MPPIA and Creative BC are embarking on the work to transform the industry.
TRUSTED RESOURCES AND TOOLS
Working with Elevate Inclusion Strategies, this initial directory of resources will be expanded and supported by Creative BC's investment to establish and curate a comprehensive toolkit for motion picture and all of the province's creative industries with quality information, validated and endorsed by trustworthy experts.
